## Infant loungers are still turning up

CPSC recall 26-569 covers CooCooBaby Classic and Deluxe loungers (about 2,355 units, sold Dec 2024–Mar 2026 on Amazon and the brand site, $35–$70). Sides are too short, the pad is too thick, and the foot opening can let a baby fall or get trapped. The firm has been uncooperative; CPSC says **dispose of the product**. Infant loungers are not a safe sleep surface. Check attics, gift piles, and marketplace listings before a nap.

## Roadside births are not a curiosity piece

San Francisco fire crews delivered Cielle Ray in Golden Gate Park on 19 September after traffic blocked the hospital run. Similar stories this year followed closed or diverted labour units. Pack a go-bag that assumes you may not reach the planned unit: towels, hat, charged phone, address for the *next* obstetric hospital, and a written note of blood type and group-B-strep status.

## Infant CPR is the useful takeaway from hospital headlines

Tragic infant cases in the news cycle this week are a reminder, not a how-to in this briefing. Book or refresh an infant CPR class through a local hospital, Red Cross, or AAP-aligned course. Know when to call emergency services. Do not use social video as your protocol.

## Fertility and immigration numbers
